Course description

The course is designed to meet the needs of hairdressers wishing to develop their skills with course modules including:

  • Style and dress long hair

Entry requirements

The NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing is designed for previously qualified hairdressers at NVQ Level 2 who are currently working within hairdressing or the next generation of salon managers who want to build on their skills as professionals.

Assessment

Practical and online assessment procedures are used as evidence of satisfactory course completion, which will be target driven for achievement.

Financial information

Uniform

A choice of your own fashionable clothing can be worn in house colours of black, grey or white.

 

Kit – full hairdressing kit is required – A top up kit will need to be purchased at a cost of approximately £94.00

 

As part of the salon rules and regulations students are not allowed to wear jewellery in the salon environment except one pair of small studs in the lower ear lobe, this also includes facial jewellery.

 

Additional Costs

Please note that students aged 19 plus may be required to pay exam and registration costs.  This will be payable during the Autumn term.  You may be able to get support towards these costs from the College Learner Support Fund, contact Student Services on 01785 275512 for further information.
