Course description

At St Mary's we aim to deliver a course that is suitable to equip our students with a high level of competency in modern business applications and good knowledge of the way ICT systems are used in our society.

At this level students will discover how modern businesses use, collect and process the data that is routinely collected. They will examine the technology that supports these processes with particular emphasis on communication technology. Students will be encouraged to look at the present capabilities of ICT and the potential for it's further development.

Entry requirements

Students will require grade B or above in GCSE ICT. If students have not studied GCSE ICT or equivalent, they can still be considered at the discretion of the Head of Department provided higher grades in English and Mathematics obtained (B or above).

Future opportunities

Alongside these studies students will be taught essential skills in modern software and develop solutions to real problems that occur in most organisations.
