EDEXCEL GCSE DOUBLE AWARD: SCIENCE AND ADDITIONAL SCIENCE GCSE SCIENCE (Year 10) This is a new qualification based on the revised Key Stage 4 Programme of Study for Science. The content is relevant to all students in their everyday life and is centred on 12 topics. CONTENT Biology:  B1a  1. Environment  2. Genes  B1b  3. Electrical and Chemical Signals  4. Use, Misuse, and Abuse Chemistry:  C1a 5. Patterns in Properties  6. Making Changes C1b  7. There`s One Earth  8. Designer Products Physics:  P1a  9. Producing and Measuring Electricity  10. You`re in Charge P1b  11. Now You See it, Now you Don`t  12. Space and its Mysteries 


ASSESSMENT - Internal Assessment (40%): (a) Practical Skills (10%) Ability to follow instructions, collect and present data. (b) Assessment Activities (30%) Set by EDEXCEL to be carried out in class, marked by the member of staff and moderated by an external examiner appointed by EDEXCEL. External Assessment (60%): Six tiered Multiple Choice Tests available in January and June.
