Course description

What the subject is about: History involves the study of concepts, cause and effect and continuity and change. It requires the development of the skills of research, analysis and problem solving. Contact the school for topics/periods being studied. History can be useful in a wide range of jobs and careers. It is highly rated by employers for the intellectual qualities required to study it. Historians move easily into jobs in banking, the law, insurance, local government, journalism, the Civil Service and all kinds of commercial companies.

    •  We are the only secondary school in the Black Country to hold FA Centre status.  Students who attend the Football Academy will combine guided learning hours in the Football Academy alongside their Sixth Form subjects.  There is also the opportunity for students to stay on in Year 14 to follow our Apprenticeship Programme or to take advantage of the links we have with football coaching camps in the USA or our links with the University of Worcester to access higher education.
