Engineering Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma at Northumberland College
This course is suitable for college managed apprentices who wish to follow a career in electrical, manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
You will study an introduction to health and safety and mathematics. The engineering fields of computer aided design (CAD), electrical/electronic and mechanical principles, programmable logic controllers (PLC's) will all be demonstrated and explained in easy to understand terms.
You will need to have GCSEs at grade C above in English language, maths, a Science subject and a relevant fourth subject.
Your progress will be assessed by assignments issued at regular intervals for each subject. They will need to be completed within a specified amount of time then handed in by a deadline date. There are no examinations for this course.
After completing the course successfully you will be encouraged to consider progression onto a BTEC Diploma (Level 3) in Engineering or you might want to continue your career by continuing your employment or seeking an advanced apprenticeship.
