Art and Design A-Level at King's Oak Academy

Course description

Explore your creativity and open yourself to the possibilities that art and design can offer you in your future, on a course that is designed to develop the artist in you.

Work has historically included the creation of a portfolio of work that will include experimental drawings and at least one project. Projects allow you to freely demonstrate and communicate artistic interests, curiosity, creativity and personal skills in art, craft and design.

Previous advance work at A2 involves students embarking upon a personal study allowing for greater focus and the development of skills. In the past this has been supported by 1,000+ word contextual document. Exams in Art and Design are normally substantial often lasting 5-15 hours.
