Introduction to the Travel and Tourism Industry: Foundation Learning BTEC level 1 at Leyton Sixth Form College

Course description

This course is designed to provide a broad, relevant and vocationally based introduction to the travel and tourism sectors.

There are units of study and students must achieve all units to pass the overall course. Students are required to attend Maths, English and ICT classes.

Entry requirements

You should have entry level qualifications and/or you must be able to show an active interest in Travel and Tourism at interview

Assessment

All units are internally assessed by teachers on the course. All units have to be completed to achieve the qualification. Maths, English and ICT are assessed by either controlled assessments or exam.

Future opportunities

Students can progress to a BTEC First qualification or into employment or work-based training
