BTEC National Level 3 Sub-Diploma/ Diploma in ICT at Clacton County High School
This course gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare them for employment or university. Students will study either 6 or 12 units of work covering a wide range of topics. These topics will prepare students for employment/university courses in areas such as Games Design, systems Engineer, Technical Support Consultant or Web Developer.
In this course we will be covering the systems behind the development of graphics and animation for computer games. We will explore the world of communication in ICT, which is immense, where the world has been made so small by the latest technology. This course will look at these areas in detail so you become more knowledgeable for your future career or training.
The course will take account of the constantly evolving nature of IT to ensure students are best prepared for future choices in whatever field of work they chose, as IT can be found increasingly in all aspects of life.
A minimum of four GCSEs (grades A*-C) is required, normally including either Maths or English or a Merit in BTEC First Diploma.
