Sociology A Level at The John Bentley School

Course description

Sociology enables you to understand, question and interpret today’s society. At AS Level, you will look at the problems facing families and the way that Sociologists study society as a whole.

At A2 Level, you look further into social theory and study crime and the reasons for, and the responses to, law-breaking. You will also study the mass media through the viewpoint of a Sociologist, interpreting analysing and dissecting the media’s messages and manipulation.
