A Level Fine Art and Textiles at New College Stamford
Experience working with a wide range of media whilst investigating themay aspects of Fine Art and Textiles. You will enhance your drawing skills and develop them whilst communicating the intentions, ideas and emotions behind Fine Art or Textile Design. You will gain investigative, analytical, experimental, practical, technical and expressive skills and an aesthetic understanding of critical judgement.You will learn how to:Independently develop your ideas in response to a given starting pointProduce material informed by contextual and other sourcesExplore ideas, techniques or processes appropriate to your chosen specialismRecord your observations from sources relevant to intentionsCritically review and refine your work as it progressesCreate a stunning portoflio of designs to convey ideas and meaning.This course is approximately 60% exam and 40% coursework.
You will explore visual language, line, tone, form, pattern and texture and experiement with a range of differrent media in a variety of drawing, painting, print, and surace decoration techniques.
APS 40 5 GCSE grade C and above including English and maths at grades and a grade B or above in and Arts based subject.
