IT Software and Web Professionals Apprenticeship Level 2 at Bedford College
This Level 2 IT Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills required to develop computer solutions that help businesses and individuals become more successful in their work. This may include developing software or websites, helping companies set up new systems, or training people to use their IT facilities. This course will combine the practical hands-on experience of the workplace with the knowledge and understanding gained through a college course. This Apprenticeship will take one year to complete. You will be required to attend College for one day a week.

- Organisation and Planning of own Workload
- Health & Safety
- Customer Care
- Develop own Effectiveness & Professionalism
- Hardware Installation
- Set Up an IT Systems
- Creating a Procedural Computer Program
- Technical Advice and Guidance
- Testing ICT Systems
- Computer Games Development
- Interpersonal and Written Communication
To begin this apprenticeship you must be employed full-time in a role relevant to the course. You must also have a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade A*-D, including English and Maths.
You will be assessed through building a portfolio of evidence.
On successful completion of this course you could progress on to the advanced IT Professional Apprenticeship (Software, Web & Telecoms) Level 3.
During this course you will also have the opportunity to take professional/vendor certifications as part of some optional units; these certifications will incur an additional cost. Apprentices will need to attend College one day a week on a Monday.
