'The Level 3 Certificate is a one year course. The course deals with the scientific themes and concepts of sport and exercise science and aims to provide studies in sport which are directly related to the changing needs of employers in specific areas of the sport science industry.Modules studied include:Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in SportThe Physiology of FitnessAssessing Risk in SportFitness Testing for Sport and Exercise

Entry requirements

'Learners are required to have 4 GCSEs at grade D-G and will also be required to undertake an interview and assessment. Candidates will be expected to be enthusiastic about embarking on a career in the sports sector.

Future opportunities

'The qualifications provide knowledge and practical skills related to Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology on completion of this qualification candidates may progress on to the:HND in Sports Exercise and Health at Tameside CollegePersonal TrainingEmployment opportunities within the sector or University
