Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2 at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College

Course description

CACHE Certificate in STALIS prepares learners to gain an understanding of the roles & responsibilities of those involved in supporting & learning in schools.

Course content

All learners will be enrolled onto the Certificate . All will undertake 9 units, these will include Safeguarding,Child Development ,Equality & Diversity ,Improving practice in schools

Entry requirements

Aged 16+ with a minimum of: Certificate: 4 Grade D passes at GCSE level;(including Maths and English) All students are required to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), this will be arranged by the college following interview


All assessment is through assignment work.

Financial information

You will require stationery equipment, uniform, which is to be worn whilst in placement, and text books.

We offer a bursary that students can apply for help with costs that are associated with a course. This could be help with the cost of travel, books, materials, equipment, uniforms, childcare and examination and registration fees. Future opportunities

Can progress to L3 Early years Educator or gain employment in school settings.

Further information

Excellent attendance is required both in College and in the practical placement. Learners are required to attend all lectures.
