Animal Care Level 3 at Achievement Training Ltd

Course description

This course is designed for those that wish to increase their knowledge of animal care and welfare. This higher level qualification will be beneficial when seeking employment. It is an academic course and does not require a work placement. Duration is 2 days per week over a year period.

The Animal Care Department has been running successfully for over 3 years; it has supported many adults and young people in gaining nationally recognised qualifications and progression in their chosen career paths in the Animal Care industry. The department works closely with a number of locally based organisations including Fitzworthy Riding Stables, Pet Project, Woodside Animal Sanctuary and Woodlands Veterinary Practice.

 

Course content

CIty & Guild Diploma in Animal Care - Level 3

These qualifications will meet the needs of learners in a centre-based environment who may wish to work in the animal care industry or progress to further learning and/or training.

Qualification allow you to develop underpinning knowledge whilst practising skills that could be used within employment in the animal care industry.

With an option to continue for a 2nd year. 

Level 3 includes; 

  • You’ll gain an in-depth insight into the techniques and science of animal management
  • You might cover things like animal biology, animal husbandry and animal nutrition
  • You’ll also gain plenty of practical experience in your choice of skills.
