Law BTEC at Grimsby Institute

Course description

The law qualification is a fascinating qualification, which is steeped in tradition and offers students an interesting and dynamic future.

If you're interested in how the law works, how it is made and the criminal justice system, then studying in law offers you the opportunity to develop your understanding of the legal profession.

Course content

This course will allow you develop a range of skills, techniques and personal skills to deepen your understanding of law.

You will look at criminal law, european law, the courts and law making, all of which will give you a head start.

Entry requirements

  • At least 8 GCSEs including English and Maths
  • An average point score appropriate for your chosen pathway from all your GCSE subjects

Future opportunities

The law qualification will give students access to a whole of host of industries including law, social work, police work, banking, finance and business in general.

It is also highly regarded by higher education institutions for students wishing to progress to university.
