Subsidiary Diploma/Certficate in IT Computer Systems (Level 3) at Palmer's College

Course description

This course contains different strands which allow you to develop your skills across a variety of IT areas including computer systems, the design and development of computer games and web design and production. You may choose a full IT programme or combine a smaller IT course with A-levels in other subjects. After completing your course you will be able to move on to university or directly into employment.

Course content

Some of the topics you may study are:
• Computer systems
• Information systems
• E-Commerce
• Web design and development
• Digital graphics 
• Multimedia design 
• Games design and programming

Entry requirements

Minimum of four Cs at GCSE or a full Level 2 Diploma in a related subject.

Future opportunities

This course leads on to degree courses in multimedia, computing, interactive media, games design, 3D graphics and animation. You will be suitable for jobs requiring high level IT skills but it is also a good grounding for any work where ICT plays an important role.
