Course description

The Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology can help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to work in the electrotechnical industry.

 

Course content

You'll learn about underlying principles of electrotechnology, health and safety and effective working practices. You'll also gain skills and knowledge in a specialist area - such as electrical maintenance, installing instrumentation or highway electrical systems.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade C or above

Assessment

You complete three core units:

•Working effectively and safely in the electrotechnical environment (Stage 1)

•Principles of electrotechnology (Stage 1)

•Applications of health and safety and electrical principles (Stage 2).
