BTEC Level 3 Science [Medical Science] at The Giles Academy

Course description

This is an excellent opportunity to develop Level 3 Science skills across the disciplines of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. These two year courses will enable you to gain a good understanding of the industrial application of Science and professional roles of scientists in the world of work. The BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma/Diploma are practical courses. You achieve modules by completing assignments which combine practical work, individual research and taught theory. All assignments are based on realistic situations within the science industry. Areas of study include: Fundamental Scientific Ideas in Biology, Chemistry and Physics Working in the Science Industry Scientific Practical Techniques The Physiology of Human Body Systems The Physiology of Human Regulation and Reproduction Diseases and Infections

Entry requirements

A minimum of: 5 GCSEs at grade C or above BTEC First Diploma at PASS or above and one GCSE grade at C or above BTEC First Certificate at PASS or above and 3 GCSEs at grade C or above
