In the final exam you will be assessed in the 4 essential skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as your knowledge of key grammar points.

Future opportunities

Choosing to study a language beyond GCSE will undoubtedly give you huge advantages in the future.  Young people with language skills are in short supply in many different sectors, with many businesses (both nationally and locally) crying out for linguists.  Examples of such industries include: Travel and Tourism, Translating and Interpreting, Financial Services, Marketing, the Armed Forces, Engineering, Logistics, Journalism and Teaching.
