ICT Applied A-Level at St Mark's West Essex Catholic School

Course description

ICT is ever present in our daily lives, from our mobile phones, tablets and desktop PCs we are constantly using and employing ICT as tool of entertainment, learning, communication and business. Through this course you will develop your knowledge and understanding of ICT and will be able to select and use appropriate ICT tools and techniques to help you carry out investigations, capture and handle data, solve problems and make decisions and present and communicate information. In addition this course will increase your awareness of the benefits and drawbacks of ICT and its impact on the way people live their lives.

This course gives you a platform to study for a degree in related subjects such as ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Multimedia, Software Engineering, Computer Networking, e-Business and Information Management. You could also go on to work-based training in the IT industry
