A Level German at Newbold Community School

Course description

Why should I study this course? If you enjoyed GCSE German, enjoy talking, expressing your opinions and learning about other cultures then A-Level German could be for you! The course aims to further develop the understanding of and increase confidence in the use of both the spoken and written forms. Students will use increasingly complex and accurate language when communicating. They will develop their critical insight into, and contact with, the contemporary society and cultural background of the countries where German is spoken.

Throughout the course students must be prepared to spend time on reading as much as possible, listening to the language on the radio, tape and TV and learning vocabulary and grammar.
