Physics at South Holderness Technology College

Course description

We live in the Scientific Age, and science has dominated society over the past few centuries.

In many ways Physics has demystified our understanding of the world. Galileo’s astronomical observations were responsible for starting the Scientific Age, Newton built on his achievements to lay the foundations of science and maths for the next three centuries and Einstein’s ideas revolutionised the way we think about space and time.

Physics is one of the key disciplines of science. It can be described as the study of matter and energy, including why materials behave as they do.
