Unit 1: Developing Web Products (Externally assessed)
Unit 2: Creative Multimedia

Entry requirements

Students will be expected to have 1 GCSE grade 9‐4 and be following the access pathway but there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Any prior learning or experience in business will be supportive.

Assessment

Unit 1 is a practical exam where students are assessed on their web design skills. Unit 2 is an internally assessed unit of work.

This qualification provides a broad and solid foundation for further study of various aspects of creative computing, such as graphic design, web design, computer games design and interactive media. It supports progress to further study, including Level 3 BTECs in IT.

It also enhances young people’s overall digital literacy and gives them a solid foundation for further study and employment.
