Designed for those who are employed in an assistant or trainee role, the Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting enables individuals to further develop their career whilst gaining more specialist practical and theoretical expertise.

The programme

During the apprenticeship learners will work towards achieving the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting. This qualification enables individuals to demonstrate Continuous Professional Development (CPD), in turn allowing them to advance in the workplace and become a highly capable, key member of an organisation.

Apprentices will continue to develop an understanding of the needs of their organisation, its customers and the sector, giving them the opportunity to enhance their technical abilities, further their interpersonal skills and grow in confidence.

AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting

The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting builds upon learners’ current knowledge and abilities by focusing on more complex tasks, such as the preparation of accounting statements and returns.

The course consists of a number of key learning and assessment areas:

  • Accounts preparation 1
  • Accounts preparation 2
  • Cash management
  • Costs and revenues
  • Indirect tax
  • Spreadsheets software
  • Professional ethics in accounting and finance

Ultimately, the Level 3 Diploma allows individuals to demonstrate their professional competence and apply real-world accounting expertise to a range of crucial financial tasks.
