BTEC 90 Credit Diploma in Performing Arts at Cleeve Park School

Course description

A two year course - This course develops skills mainly in acting as well as other performance disciplines. Many of the units are project led. This gives the learners the opportunity of developing skills and techniques in relation to a performance or showing.

The course focuses on performance studies and the entertainment industry in general and a range of specialist areas of study in drama.

Course content

Most assignments are a mixture of practical and written work, supported by tutorials, lectures, workshops with visiting professionals, web-based research, visits and discussions. You prepare performance showcases and productions demonstrating the skills you have acquired. You build portfolios of work that provide evidence of your understanding for assessment.

On completing this two year course it is possible to achieve up to 210 UCAS points.

Entry requirements

Grade C or above in Drama GCSE

9 Units over 2 years
