Design and Technology at Riverside School
All pupils gain skills in investigating, designing, making and appraising products. KS4 students follow a youth enterprise scheme involving the making of products. This is linked to the Haringey Education and Business Partnership who provide funding.
You could take this short course with a related GCE such as Art to prepare for further education such as a BTEC Higher Nationals in Design or related degree programmes. With further training, you could go into a job related to design and the cultural industries such as an Interior Designer or Graphic Designer. The course offers a practical approach to learning and will help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers are looking for, especially within the design industries. You could also do a design related NVQ vocational qualification as part of your job training.
