Course description

The UK is currently a global leader in creative industries and business is booming. To enable you to become part of this sector you will begin the course by exploring a range of media and process leading you into the development of your own project. All projects are tailored and personalised and students are encouraged to explore and develop their ideas through guided and independent study.

Course content

Component 1: Portfolio
Core skills sheets and self-directed project 1. Self-directed project 2 including written essay (1000- 3000 words)

Component 2:
Exam topic specified by the exam board

Entry requirements

Study of a creative subject at a grade B, English grade 5


A01: Research
A02: Explore & Select
A03: Record
A04: Present Personal & Meaningful Response

Each objective must be evidenced in both components

Component 1: Non Exam
96 Marks
60% of A-level

Component 2: Preparatory time + Exam (15 hours)
96 Marks
40% of A-level
