Graphic Design - BTEC Extended Diploma in Graphic Design with Photography (Level 3) at Hopwood Hall College

Course description

If you want a route into the graphic design industry and already have a current portfolio with samples of work, this course is for you.
 
You will be introduced to industry standard software and work on creative projects,
live briefs and competitions. You’ll also be encouraged to design and develop ideas and work in a professional environment.
 
Candidates attending interviews will be expected to bring a portfolio of work which should show examples of recent design and art work such as drawing or illustration, photography, image manipulation or mixed media. Work can be
shown on a phone, ipad, CD, website, blog or pen drive at the interview.

The Level 3 course is designed as a two year study programme but there is an option to undertake a diploma in one year instead. Please ask for more details at your interview.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs grade C or above to include English and Mathematics OR BTEC Level 2 qualification OR NVQ Level 2 OR VRQ Level 2.

No cost for 16-19 year olds.

      The Rochdale campus is 2.6 miles from junction 20 of the M62. Follow the signs for Rochdale town centre
      By Rail:
      Rochdale train station, with frequent connections to Leeds, Bradford and Manchester, is a ten minute walk from the Rochdale Campus through the town centre. It is also a Metrolink station, Manchester’s light railway system, which links Rochdale with Oldham, Bury and Manchester City Centre.
      By Bus: 
      The Rochdale bus station is approximately 5 minutes walk from the Rochdale campus. There are frequent bus services throughout the borough which terminate in Rochdale.
