Course description

AS / A2 Mathematics and an extended project.

Entry requirements

A total of 5 GCSEs are required. This must be made up of 4 GCSE Grades at Grade C / Grade 4 or above in English, Science and two other subjects. Mathematics must be achieved at GCSE Grade B / Grade 5, or above in the higher paper.

Future opportunities

Students can go into careers in many engineering disciplines as technicians and there is a clear route through incorporated and chartered status. Engineering regularly move into senior positions in national and international organisations.

If you want to get a job straight away you could work in Design, Product Engineering, Technical Services or Electrical Engineering.

If you decide to go on to University or College you could take a degree or a BTEC Higher National in subjects such as Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
