NVQ Diploma in Management at London Learning Consortium

Course description

This apprenticeship is designed to develop middle and senior managers with excellent technical knowledge, proven management abilities and advanced understanding of leadership. Useful for succession planning at senior management levels. The coursewill allow you to develop and demonstrate leadership capability, specialist business knowledge and practical management skills.

Course content

Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management - Four mandatory units cover operational planning, providing leadership and direction, planning changing and working productively with colleagues and stakeholders. Also a range of optional units. Minimum 38 credits. Level 5 Diploma in Principles of Leadership and Management - There are five mandatory units, covering the skills and knowledge required to be effective at this level. These include understanding the management role and how to improve performance, managing improvement, building financial cases, developing critical thinking and leading innovation and change. Also a wide range of optional units. Minimum 37 credits.

Assessment

You will be assessed at work. Your assessor watches and asks questions as you perform a task, or they may look at a portfolio of work that you have built as formal evidence of your learning. You will also complete online tests and written assignments and reports.
