Course description

Becoming an accountancy Apprentice will open up many career opportunities for you. 

Businesses large and small all need people with skills in finance. After completing this Apprenticeship you could equally find yourself working for a start-up company or a multi-national brand. 

You'll be employed in a role within a finance department where you'll learn about banking procedures, costing, ethics and preparing and recording financial documentation.

This is a great route if you enjoy working with numbers and facts, have good attention to detail and a willingness to learn how to use new computer software. 

During your Apprenticeship you'll be supported by your employer who will be responsible for your training and your ncn assessor who will visit you regularly to check on your progress. 

Course content

The Advanced Apprenticeship offers you the skills and knowledge to develop as a finance professional.

The aim of this level is to enhance the skills developed in the intermediate apprenticeship. You’ll cover more complex financial processes, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, reports and returns and professional ethics.

You'll study six units:

* Accounts preparation
* Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships
* Cost and revenues
* Professional ethics
* Indirect tax
* Spreadsheets software
