Further Mathematics AS A Level at Saint Mary's College, Blackburn

Course description

The Further Mathematics course is designed for those students who are strong mathematicians and want to study the subject beyond the scope of the AS Mathematics course. Since the course extends those topics studied in AS Mathematics, students must study AS Further Mathematics alongside AS Mathematics, thereby taking two AS Levels in the subject. The AS and A Level Further Mathematics course covers further methods of Calculus, Polar Coordinates, Complex Numbers, Power Series, Matrices, Conics and Hyperbolic Functions. Students also study applied modules including Mechanics, Decision Maths and Statistics.
