Course description

Why study ICT Diploma?

This course develops an in depth understanding of the use and application of ICT in the world today. It covers many topics critical to business operations on a global scale.

What do I study?

In addition to the units covered as part of the Subsidiary Diploma, the following units are also covered:

Unit 4 – The impact of IT on business systems

Unit 8 - Ecommerce

Unit 31 – Computer animation

Unit 3 – Information systems

Unit 18 – Advanced databases

Unit 42 – Advanced spreadsheet modeling

Where next?

This qualification provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for learners wishing to enter a career as an IT Practitioner or Technician in the areas of Business Systems, User Support, Networking and Software Development. It also provides progression to higher education on a full time degree course or vocational qualification such as BTEC Higher National Diploma.

Entry requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade A* - C including English Language and Maths and a Level 2 ICT qualification at Grade A* - C.
