Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration Diploma Level 3 at Acacia Training

Course description

This Diploma consists of 3 pathways: Business Administration, Medical Administration and Legal Administration. This Apprenticeship comprises of a number of units including: - Evaluate and improve own performance in a business environment - Work in a business environment - Communicate in a business environment - Manage own performance in a business environment. In addition to the Diploma, you will also be required to complete Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 2, an Employment Rights and Responsibilities workbook and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.

 

This qualification is intended for individuals whose role involves carrying out administrative duties with a considerable amount of responsibility and autonomy. The individual will be contributing to the development and implementation of administrative services within the organisation, and have a substantial amount of administrative experience. Their administrative duties will include: supervising an office facility, managing and evaluating customer relations, monitoring information systems, running projects, planning, organising and supporting meetings, making presentations. 

Financial information

For learners aged up to 24, the Skills Funding Agency currently provides funding for this programme.

To access this funding via Acacia Training, applicants must be working under contract of employment with a local employer in the South West Region.

For learners aged 24 years and over, the Advanced Apprenticeship is co-funded with a contribution from the government to add to an employer contribution of £250. Learner Loans are also available for learners aged over 24 years, have lived in the UK for the past 3 years and have a NI number.

Future opportunities

There are no formal entry requirements but you must be able to demonstrate your competence in a real working environment. This City & Guilds Diploma is often a progression route from the NVQ or new QCF Certificate at Level 2.

You can choose between 3 pathways: Business Administration, Medical Administration and Legal Administration.

Progression routes:

  • Office manager
  • Administration team leader
  • Personal assistant or a wide range of managerial roles within business
  • Further education.
