Food Technology A-Level at Pershore High School

Course description

Food Technology offers you the opportunity to gain personal satisfaction and a positive experience from working with food materials. It involves practical problem-solving, independent learning, creativity and innovation.You will also study Food Science and the functional properties of food,perspectives of the food industry and the development and analysis of food products.

Entry requirements

We ask thatstudents entering the Sixth Form have a minimum of 6 GCSEs at Grade C or above,including at least one at Grade B. Many subjects have an additional requirement of a GCSE at Grade A,B or C in that,or a closely related,subject. These are detailed in the subject pages.Differentsubjects have different demands and the Sixth Form team and subject teachers will take time to discussthe suitability of your individual programme ofstudy. For you to succeed it is crucial that your courses accurately matche your ability,qualifications and aspirations. We will always consider individual cases and take into account particular circumstances.
