Course description

AAT Accounting qualification is an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification based on practical, real-life knowledge that can be put to use from day one.

Organisations such as Vodaphone, the NHS, the Metropolitan Police, KPMG and many more continue to hire AAT qualified members for their knowledge, skills, diligence and enthusiasm, because AAT represents the highest standards of professionalism.

AAT is a professional membership body, which awards skills-based accountancy and finance qualifications. AAT work across the globe with around 125,000 members in more than 90 countries. Its members are represented at every level of the finance and accounting world, including students, people already working in accountancy and self-employed business owners.

Course content

The course covers the following main areas:

Accounts preparation

Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships

Costs and revenues

Indirect tax

Spread sheets software

Professional ethics

Entry requirements

You will need to have passed AAT L2. Working within the accounting field is desirable but not necessary.

Assessment

You will be expected to doformat online tests set by the AAT.

This Level 3 qualification provides opportunities to progress to the Level 4 AAT qualification.

Employment opportunities:

Completion of Level 3 can assist someone with internal progression if they currently work in accountancy or other financial services firms, as well as enabling you to enter employment as a Level 3 qualified AAT Technician.
