Cambridge Technical L3 Diploma in Health & Social Care at Northfleet School for Girls

Course description

A mix of examined units and
Coursework units.
A variety of subjects are taught
such as: Safeguarding, creative
activities, Health and Safety, Sexual
Health, infection control, positive
relationships, person centred care,
early development, looked after
children, equality and diversity.

Interested in either a Child care
career or Health related career. The
course is a mix of Health, Social
Care and Child care.
The course will suit students who
would like a course that is varied
and is a mix of coursework and
examined units.
Students also need to be confident
to enter the Health, Social Care and
Child Care work place as this is a
vital part of the course.
Students need to be prepared
for large proportion of written
work and to be able to meet strict
deadlines.

Unit 21: Looked after children

Entry requirements

5 GCSE 9-5 grades including
Level 4 in English Language
and Level 4 in Science and
has achieved a Merit at Level
2 H&SC/ Child care.

Assessment

9 units to be studied.
4 examined units
5 Coursework units
