Early Years Practitioner (Early Years Educator standard) Diploma Level 3 at Jancett Childcare and Jace Training

Course description

The Early Years Foundation Stage sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children have the skills they need to start school and gives them a broad range of knowledge. The qualification criteria set out the minimum requirements for what an early years educator should know, understand and be able to do, to be considered qualified to support young children from birth to 5 years old in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Course content

All Level 3 Early Years Educator qualifications will require candidates to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of early years education and care, including:

Supporting and promoting children’s early education and development, planning and providing effective care

Teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school

Making accurate and productive use of assessment

Developing effective and informed practice

Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children

Working in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals
