BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Travel and Tourism at Kingston College

Course description

This qualification in travel and tourism covers many aspects to help you succeed in your career within the industry, covering units to give you maximum opportunities.

This qualification contains units that are relevant to all sectors of the industry, whether you're entering into a career as a travel agent, resort representatives or tour operations.

Course content

A range of units to be studied which may include Principles of Customer Service, Worldwide Travel & Tourism, Interpersonal Skills and Introduction to the Cruise Industry. Students also study GCSE English and Mathematics if they have not already achieved a grade C/4. A one week work experience placement forms an essential part of the programme as does a range of enrichment opportunities.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 including English Language and Mathematics or a BTEC Level 1 at a Pass grade plus GCSE English and Mathematics at grade D/3 or above or Functional Skills at Level 1. A successful interview and satisfactory reference are also essential.
