Music GCSE at Hereward College
This course provides learners with opportunities to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in Performing, Composing, Listening and Appraising music. In addition to the study of a variety of instruments, composers, composition techniques and styles learners are required to sit a formal Listening Examination at the end of the course.
No formal qualifications, however Key Stage 3 in Literacy and an interest in music and some familiarity with IT would be an advantage.
Course work and/or exam or controlled tests
Progression to higher level of study i.e. AS course in Music Technology or in a music-related subject.
