Vocal Artist Level 3 at Access Creative College

Course description

If you are a vocalist who wants to develop skills for university or professional work, then this is the course for you. You will gain indepth skills in vocal health, singing, rapping, harmony, musicianship, songwriting, repertoire development, rehearsal skills and live and recorded performance.

Course content

VOICE TRAINING Explore all aspects of your singing style.

IMPROVE YOUR MUSICIANSHIP Gain an understanding of how music works, including scales and harmony.

WRITE & ARRANGE SONGS Refine your songwriting skills and arrange songs by other artists, working solo and in groups.

REHEARSE & PERFORM Perfect your repertoire and get to perform in college and at gigs. Learn how to start recording your songs.

DEVELOP BUSINESS SKILLS Get the skills to promote yourself and your music within the industry.

Entry requirements

We value your creative passion and skills above all else. However, you will need to demonstrate that you are able to work at Level 3 (A Level standard) and we will take your actual, or predicted, grades into account.

Financial information

FREE for 16-18s.

Future opportunities

You will achieve a Level 3 RSL Music Practitioners Extended Diploma which can lead on to a creative degree, or our Artist Development course. Completion of both years of the course can generate up to 168 UCAS points, or the equivalent of three A* grades at A Level. You may also go straight into employment in the creative industries.
