Fashion & Textiles BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Farnborough College of Technology

Course description

This course is equivalent to three A Levels and is designed to develop your skills and understanding of all aspects in fashion and design. You can also participate in events, such as the Fashion and Textile Museum and Graduate Fashion Week.

Entry requirements

Five GCSE grades A-C (Art and/or Textiles and English Language) or a minimum of overall Merit at Level 2 with some Distinctions and Level 2 English. Excellent attendance and summer project, plus a successful reference and interview, are required. 

All young people will continue to improve their skills in English and Mathematics while studying at the college. If you have lower than a C grade GCSE in Mathematics or English Language, you will be supported to work towards this level.

Future opportunities

Upon satisfactory completion of the course, you could progress onto a degree in a related subject such as Fashion Design, Illustration or Interior Design. You could also progress into industry at a junior or Apprenticeship level.
