Maths AS A2 at Bishop Stopford CE School

Course description

The course builds on from your GCSE knowledge and skills in Maths.

In A Level Maths, you will study a range of topics from Pure maths looking at algebra and geometry, to Statistics and probability and Mechanics looking at the way objects move in terms of speed, distance, acceleration and time.

The course can be combined with Further Maths either to AS Level or to A Level.

It combines well with other subjects, and will lead to a huge range of further opportunities such as science, and engineering related courses at university, and careers in the finance and buisness sectors. A degree in Maths is likely to need Further Maths as well as Maths A Level.
