Applied Science - Forensics at Newmarket Academy

Course description

If you have enjoyed studying science at GCSE but dislike exams, this is an obvious choice for you. It is an interesting look into the world of forensic science and covers the psychology of the criminal mind to the actual tasks involved at a scene of crime. This is a two year course, and both years will need to be completed to gain the award.

The emphasis of this course is on the vocational setting, making the topics relevant to real life. A significant part of this course is based on practical work and applications of the topics to modern society, whilst developing key skills such as numeracy, communication and ICT.
