Government and Politics at ALDRIDGE SCHOOL - A SCIENCE COLLEGE
What the subject is about: Students learn about how the UK Government works, as it makes the day-to-day decisions about running the country; it gives students the opportunity to find out about the different viewpoints held by people involved in decision making. The course includes a study of post war British political issues and concepts. For example, a study of the role of Parliament, the office of the Prime Minister and issues such as Northern Ireland, the EU, the welfare state and law and order.
