2Plus Programme at Blackpool Sixth Form College

Course description

The one year 2Plus Programme is a highly flexible step for those who need to boost their qualifications before A level and BTEC or entering the world of emloyment. At the heart of the programme are the skills and qualifications which today's employers want: literacy, numeracy, event management, study skills, employment and enterprise skills. The programme allows you to tailor your courses to the career area in which you are most interested.

Entry requirements

The 2Plus Programme is aimed at students who don't as yet have 5 GCSE qualifications including English and Maths. A minimum of 4 D grades (or equivalent) is required to begin the programme.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this programme will give you 5 GCSE equivalent qualifications. This will allow you to move onto our Advanced Applied Programme (Level 3 BTECs). You will also recieve guidance and subject tasters during the course to help you select from our wide range of BTEC courses.

      In 2011 we were awarded Teaching School status in partnership with Hodgson Academy. The the Fylde Coast Teaching School Alliance will take a national and regional lead in both shaping and delivering the training and professional development of current and future generations of teachers.
