Course content

'This course offers a very broad selection of content which will equip learners for an extensive range of higher education or employment opportunities. The course comprises eighteen units including compulsory modules in Communication and Employability, Computer Systems, Information Systems and Software Design and Development. In addition you have the opportunity to study in fields such as: Game Design and DevelopmentDigital ArtworkGame Design and DevelopmentProgrammingNetworksDatabase ManagementProject planning and Systems Analysis. Many of the units are based around case studies drawn from industry to provide a firm vocational context to your studies. This course is supported by highly experience staff and dedicated resources such as our new Game Development Studio.

Entry requirements

'The minimum entry requirement is 5 GCSE passes at grade A* - C (including at least one of mathematics or English) or a Merit in BTEC Level 2 qualification in a computing or IT related field.

Future opportunities

'We actively support learners on their pathway to higher level study. We work closely with our learners through the UCAS process or assisting with applications for apprenticeships or career pathways. Higher Education, HND in Computing or directly into employment within a range of IT jobs including Web Development, Network Support and Software Development.
