Course description

Are you aged 16-24, unemployed and looking for more training before choosing a career? A Traineeship could be the ideal opportunity for you.

What it's all about:

Traineeships are for 16-24 years olds who aren't currently in work or training and looking for support to find their perfect career path, A Traineeship could lead into a full-time Apprenticeship position -in retail, business admin, warehousing, customer service, hospitality.

Traineeships are based around three key areas:

- A high quality work placement, giving you meaningful work experience and workplace skills which could last from 6 weeks to 5 months in a business or retail environment

- Work preparation, covering things like CV writing, interview preparation, job searching and developing your interpersonal skills

- Maths and English skills

What you get:

- Practical work experience and employment skills

- Guaranteed job or exit interview at the end of the Traineeship

Entry requirements

The Traineeship provides an opportunity for young people aged 16-24 who aren't currently in work or training who are looking for further training and support  before choosing their perfect career.  Motivation, stamina and commitment are required!

Assessment

The  vocational element will be assessed through completion of portfolios, maths and English skills will be assessed through online/paper tests and you progression in the workplace will be assessed through workplace visits and discussions.  

Financial information

Eligible Trainees can apply for a bursary.
