Caravan And Motorhome Maintenance (Level 3) Advanced Apprenticeship at Central College Nottingham

Course description

The programme covers the technical and practical needs for today’s Caravan and Motorhome industry. It provides the advanced technical knowledge for people working on Caravans and Motorhomes in all types of repair facilities.

Course content

You will study both the theory and practical aspects of the following:

  • Materials and Tools
  • Carrying Out Non Structural Internal and External Repairs
  • Diagnose & Rectify 12v/230V Electrical, Chassis / Running Gear and Gas Appliance Faults
  • Health and Safety


English and Maths are an essential part of your studies and will help you succeed on your course. These subjects will help you develop confidence and are the key employability skills that all employers now look for when recruiting.

Entry requirements

You will need to be employed in a Caravan and Motorhome Repair Shop carrying out appropriate tasks. In addition, applicants must have achieved 4 GCSEs at grades A* to C and a Level 2 Caravan and Motorhome qualification, or other equivalent qualification.


For each module you will need to complete coursework, written assignments, practical assessments, online tests and work based observations. You will have the advantage of an online e-learning package to help you achieve your target.

Future opportunities

Subject to meeting the subject criteria you will be able to move onto a Higher Apprenticeship or specialist training to further improve your knowledge and skills.

Further information

To be an Advanced Apprentice Caravan and Motorhome Technician you must be employed in a Caravan and Motorhome Repair Shop working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
