BTEC Applied Science - Forensics Level 3 Diploma at Balby Carr Community Academy

Course description

BTEC Nationals are qualifications that are designed to provide specialist work-related qualifications in a range of sectors. They give learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare them for employment.

On successful completion of a BTEC National qualification learners can progress into or within employment and/or continue their study in the same vocational area.

Suitable for all students who have studied GCSE, Additional and BTEC science.


Forms of Assessment

 The twelve units are assessed by Portfolio work.

 There is no externally set exam.

 The students are given regular feedback via a feedback sheet.

Future opportunities

This course is broadly equivalent to two ‘A’ levels.

BTEC level 3 Applied Science prepares students for Higher Education at BTEC Higher National, HND and foundation Degree Level. It is also suitable for careers as a Science Technician within Forensics and other related fields.
